- L'Union Estate, a local park;
- Anse Coco beach, where rock formations shelter parts of the shore from the ocean, making it safe to swim even when the waves are big.
For somewhere more secluded, there's Silhouette Island. Its tropical beauty is barely touched by development and remains close to its natural state. Recommended places to visit:
- Cinnamon plantations;
- Equatorial rainforest;
- The house of planter Henri Dauban, whose family owned the entire island until the 1970s. Dauban himself was a cattle breeder and shipbuilder (of sailing vessels), and competed at the 1924 Olympics in the javelin throw.
